Get in touchHow do I hide my ID number in a photo?
Add the photo, keep Black box selected and drag across the number. Add a box for each detail, then download the safe copy.
Should I use blur or a black box?
Use a black box for numbers and text: it covers them completely. Blurred text can sometimes be made readable again. Blur and pixels are good for faces, backgrounds and number plates.
Can the hidden text in a PDF be copied?
No. Pages with boxes are saved as images with the boxes burned in, so the text underneath is gone. Pages without boxes are kept exactly as they were.
Is the location of my photo removed too?
Yes. The downloaded photo has no EXIF details such as the camera, the date or the GPS location.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser and your file never reaches our server.
