How does "target size" work?
The tool tries quality levels until the file fits under your limit. If the image still does not fit at the lowest sensible quality, it reduces the dimensions step by step (you can switch this off).
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser. Your images are never sent to our server.
Which format compresses best?
WebP usually gives the smallest files at the same visual quality and keeps transparency. JPG is the most widely accepted for forms and email.
Does compression remove photo metadata?
Yes. Camera details and location (EXIF/GPS) are not copied into the compressed image. Rotation from the camera is applied first.
