HOW IT WORKS

Photo info & privacy in three steps

  1. Add your photos

Choose or drop one or many photos from your phone or camera.

  2. See the details

Each photo shows what it gives away: where it was taken on a map, when, with which device, and by whom.

  3. Remove and download

Press Remove details. You get clean copies, checked so that nothing is left, with the picture itself unchanged.

What is photo metadata (EXIF)?

Information saved inside a photo file: the date and time, the phone or camera model, its settings, often the GPS location and sometimes the owner’s name or the device’s serial number.

How do I remove the location from a photo?

Add the photo and press Remove details · download. The GPS position is removed together with the other details, and the clean copy is checked before you get it.

Does removing the details reduce the quality?

No. For JPG, PNG and WebP only the hidden details are cut out; the picture is not re-compressed. Photos stored sideways, and HEIC photos, are saved again as a high-quality JPG so they stay upright everywhere.

Do social networks remove it for me?

Many remove it from the public copy, but the original you upload may still be kept with its details. Email, chat apps sending “original quality” files, marketplaces and file sharing often keep everything.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. They are read and cleaned in your browser and never reach our server.
